Counseling That Meets You Where You Are
Counseling is more than a professional service—it’s a relationship. When you sit with me, you receive not only my training, skills, and experience, but also my presence as a fellow human being walking alongside you in your story. My goal is to create a space of safety, compassion, and understanding, where you can explore your struggles and step more fully into the life you long for.
When working with me, the focus is true healing—not just managing symptoms or collecting tips and tricks. Together, we work to uncover the deeper roots of what’s going on so that real and lasting change is possible.
I draw from an eclectic mix of approaches tailored to your unique needs. I regularly integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), a deeply relational model that helps us understand and heal the different “parts” of ourselves, and I am trained in EMDR, a powerful, evidence-based method for processing trauma and painful experiences. Alongside these, I use a variety of other therapeutic methods, always with the goal of supporting your unique path to wholeness.
Finding the right fit in a counselor is essential. While I strive to meet every client where they are, if it turns out we’re not the best fit, I will gladly connect you with trusted colleagues in the area who may be.

Modality Information
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a powerful, evidence-based model of therapy that helps us understand and heal the different “parts” of ourselves. Developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, IFS views the mind as made up of sub-personalities—such as protectors, managers, and exiles—each carrying important roles and burdens from our life experiences. Rather than trying to eliminate these parts, IFS helps bring compassion, balance, and healing to the whole system.
I am trained in IFS and regularly integrate it into my work with individuals and couples. Many clients find IFS especially helpful in addressing trauma, shame, relational struggles, anxiety, and more—because it gets to the root of the story beneath the symptoms.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR uses a set of standardized protocols that incorporate elements from many therapeutic approaches while focusing on helping the brain reprocess painful experiences.
I am EMDR trained and qualified as a therapist. EMDR has been shown to address not only major traumas and PTSD, but also to provide relief in areas such as anxiety, stress, phobias, and more.
